Current affairs for AFCAT, SSB interview   After Padma awards announced on 26 January 2016, here are the few important current affairs for AFCAT 2016 exam.   On 1st January 2015, 65-year old Planning Commission of India was abolished and new NITI Aayog was established.   On 31st January 2015, Agni-V ballistic missile having strike range of more than 5000 Km was test-fired from a canister. This first time experiment was successful.   In the month of March, the central government has awarded Bharat Ratna to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and posthumously to Madan Mohan Malviya.   On 8th April 2015, MUDRA Bank was launched by PM Narendra Modi. Government has allotted an initial corpus of 20,000 crore to MUDRA bank which is established to extend credit to small businesses.   On 7th May 2015, Indian constitution was amended and sorted out the border dispute with the neighboring country Bangladesh.   First International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2015.   PM Narendra Modi launched Digital India programme on 1st July 2015.   GSAT-6 satellite launched successfully using the GSLV D-6 launch vehicle on 27th August 2015.   On 28th September 2015, India's first space observatory Astrosat launched successfully.   On 24th October 2015 way cleared for women to become fighter pilot as Ministry of Defence approves women as fighter pilots in Indian Air Force.   So these were few shortlisted current affairs for upcoming AFCAT 1 2016 exam and also for SSB interviews.
