IAF Meteorology Branch Notification for Men and Women 2014 - 15

Indian Air Force has invited applications from men for its meteorology branch today.

Meteorology branch eligibility criteria

In order to apply for Indian Air Force's meteorology courses, applicants need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria.

• Applicant's age must be between 20 to 25 years as on 01 July 2015. For Ph D holders, upper age limit is relaxed by 2 years.
• Applicants must have post graduate degree with minimum 50% in the following streams.
• Any Science stream
• Mathematics
• Statistics
• Geography
• Computer Applications
• Environmental Science
• Applied Physics
• Oceanography
• Meteorology
• Agricultural Meteorology
• Ecology and Environmental biology
• Minimum height of the applicant must be 157.5 Cms for male applicants and 152 Cms for women.
• Candidates who are in the final year can also apply for the IAF meteorology branch course.

There are tow courses being offered by Air Force for men in meteorology branch.

• No. 197/15G/PC/M (Permanent Commission)
• No. 197/15G/SSC/M (Short Service Commission)

Following course is exclusive for women.

• No. 197/15G/SSC/W
