Indian Navy Submarine SSC Course Recruitment Notification

Want to become a submarine officer in Indian Navy and looking for submarine branch notification? Navy has invited applications for its submarine specialisation branch. Check out eligibility criteria, procedure to apply and last date of applying.

Indian Navy has issued notification for the following courses today.

• Technical (General Service) Branch (E & L)
• Submarine Specialisation
• Executive (GS) / Hydro Cadre

Eligibility criteria of Navy submarine specialisation branch course

In order to apply for Indian Navy's submarine specialisation branch, applicant's date of birth should be between 02 January 1990 to 01 July 1995.   Applicants should have studied the following streams in engineering and must have secured 65% marks.

• Mechanical 
• Marine
• Automotive 
• Mechtronics
• Industrial & Production
• Metallurgy
• Aeronautical/Aerospace
• B.S. Marine Engineering 
• Instrumentation
• Instrumentation & Control 
• Automation & Robotics
• Industrial Engg. & Management
• Production Engg

Applicants should not have color blindness and should be healthy. Minimum height for men is 157 Cms. Eye sight of candidates who are applying for Indian Navy submarine specialisation branch should not be worse than 6/24 without glasses and 6/6 with glasses.   All candidates who qualify for the submarine specialisation branch will be given Short Service Commission in Indian Navy. 
SSB interviews will be held during May to October 2014. Training will start in December 2014 at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.

How to apply for Navy submarine specialisation branch SSC course

Candidates need to apply online for Indian Navy submarine specialisation branch SSC course. After filling up the online application, candidates need to send the printout of application to the following address.  Post Box No. 04,  Chankya Puri PO,  New Delhi - 110 021.   Last date to fill up online application for the course is 26 March 2014. Hard copy of application should reach Navy Headquarters by 05 April 2014.
