AFCAT exam is held by Indian Air Force twice in a year. Many Indians apply for AFCAT in order to fulfill their dream of becoming an officer in IAF. Before proceeding to apply for the exam, one needs to know what AFCAT is and eligibility criteria.

Eligibility criteria of AFCAT exam

Following is the eligibility criteria in order to apply for AFCAT exam of Indian Air Force.

First of all applicant must have passed graduation with 60%. Both males and females are eligible to apply for AFCAT exam. Age limit is mentioned in the official notification of AFCAT exam. Age limit varies according to the higher qualification attained by the applicant. For height and weight requirements, one need to refer notification as the limits depend on branch of IAF opted and sex of candidate. Nationality of applicant should be Indian. Also applicant should be mentally and physically fit. Handicapped candidates are not eligible to apply for AFCAT examination.
