Age and educational and other eligibility criteria for No. 44 SSC course
Age of women applicant for 44 SSC Meteorology course should be 20 to 25 years as on 01 January 2014. Age of Ph D doctorates are relaxed up to two years i.e., Ph D holders with 27 years of age as on 01 January 2014 are also eligible for applying.In order to apply for 44 SSC course in Meteorology branch of Indian Air Force, candidates should have completed their post graduation in any one of the following streams.
- Any Science stream
- Mathematics
- Statistics
- Geography
- Computer Applications
- Environmental Sciences
- Applied Physics
- Oceanography
- Meteorology
- Agricultural Meteorology
- Ecology & Environment
- Geo - Physics
- Environmental Biology
Candidate should have secured minimum 50 % in her post graduation. Also candidate should have studied Mathematics and Physics in her graduation and must have secured 55% marks in both subjects.
Height of the candidate applying for Meteorology branch of IAF should be minimum 152 Cms with appropriate weight.
Method of testing for women applying for 44 SSC Meteorology branch in IAF
Candidates eligible for No. 44 Short Service Commission (44 SSC) are exempted from AFCAT examination. There will be various screening tests viz., Intelligence tests and Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT) in Stage - I of SSB interview. Short listed candidates in Stage - I exam will undergo various Psychology and Group Testing exams conducted by Services Selection Board officers. SSB exam will take five days total to declare results. Screening test will be conducted on first day of SSB interview and 80 percent of the candidates will be sent back after screening out. Last date to apply for 44 SSC Meteorology branch of IAF is 12 February 2013.
