How to apply for SSC Officer entry post of Indian Navy in Executive and Technical branches online

Completed BE or B Tech and want to apply for Indian Navy short service commissioning in Executive or Technical branches? Read on to know about the procedure of applying for Short service commissioning in Indian Navy Executive and Technical branch.

Indian Navy has the facility of applying online for various commissioning jobs through its official website nausena-bharti.nic.in. 

  Indian Navy has implemented online application feature and now it has accepting all applications for various commissioning posts online only. So here we have given the complete step by step procedure of applying for Executive and Technical (General Services) branches of Indian Navy as ShortService Commissioned Officers posts online.  

Step I – Login to nausena-bharti.nic.in – Indian Navy’s official recruitment website

First of all you need to log on to official website ofIndian Navy i.e., nausena-bharti.nic.in. After the page gets loaded, click on “Downloads“ link. In the Downloads link, you will see many options related to Indian Navy recruitments. Click on “Officer Application Forms” to proceed.

Forthcoming Opportunities Page of Indian Navy   You will be redirected to “Forthcoming Opportunities” page of Indian Navy. Here search for Entry type as Short Service Commission in Executive (General Service) and Technical branches. Under this tab, you can see “Apply Now” link. So click on “Apply Now” to apply for SSC officer post in Executive and Technical branches of Indian Navy.   You will see few guidelines for filling up the online form for short service commissioning in Indian Navy’s Executive and technical branches. So go through them very carefully before proceeding to apply. Click on “Apply” link to proceed.

Step II - Fill up Date of Birth, Gender and university details

After clicking on “Apply” link, you will be redirected to “Online Application for Officer Entry” page. Here you have to fill up the following details in order to proceed.

• Enter your Date of birth according to the tenth marks list or certificate in “Enter Your Date of Birth” field.

• Also choose your gender as male or female in “Select Your Gender” select box.

• Now select your academic qualification between B.E. and B. Tech. In “Select Your Highest Qualification”.

• The moment you select the academic qualification, a bunch of additional fields will appear.

 

• Now choose “Regular 4 year Course” if you have completed your 4 years engineering course after 10+2.

• If you have studied engineering as lateral entry student after completing diploma, then select “Diploma +3 years B. Tech/ B.E. Course or Regular 4 year Course with 1st year common” option.

• Select the stream which you have studied in Engineering.

• Select passing out year of your Engineering degree.

• After that, enter maximum marks and marks obtained by you in engineering degree’s eight semesters one by one.

• The percentage of your engineering degree will be calculated automatically by the application of Indian Navy website.

• Now you have to select whether you have studied your engineering degree in recognised university or not.

• You have to state whether you have completed engineering degree successfully or not.

Last but not least, you need to enter word verification code and click on “Next Step” to proceed.  

Step III – Select officer entry type of Indian Navy

After filling up all details, you will be redirected to “Choose the officer entry for which you desire to apply” page. Select SSC {GS(X)} checkbox and click on “Next Step” link. Here you can choose more than one officer entry as per your will and wish.


If you choose more than one officer entry, then you need to choose the priority of the selected entries. If you have chosen only one entry, then by default, priority 1 will be selected in front of the entry type.   Click on “next Step” link to proceed further.  

Step IV – Fill up Indian Navy Officer Entry Application Form

You have to fill up the following details in the online application form for Indian Navy officer entry.  

• Applicant’s Information – Fill up your first name, last name, father’s name, father’s occupation, nationality and marital status.

• Permanent Residential Address – Enter your address. Select your state, domicile state, district, pin code and phone number in the “Permanent Residential Address” area.

• Correspondence Address – Here you can choose the previously entered address as the correspondence address or you may enter other address and phone numbers here by choosing “Not Same” option.

Enter your email id and click on “Next Step” link to proceed. You will be redirected to “Educational Particulars” Page of Indian Navy online officer entry form.  

Step V – Fill up educational details

In “Educational Particulars” page, you have to fill up the following details.  

• Name of College – Here select your college name if it is listed in the drop down list. If your college is not listed in there, click on “Others”. Immediately a new field will appear. In that box, enter the college name.

• Enter the address of college where you have studied.

• After filling up the college details, enter the name of university where you have studied Engineering degree.

• Enter district and state where your college is located.

• Enter whether you are serving in any central or state service or not. If you are not employed in any central or state government job, write as “NA”.

• After this, you need to select an option stating the means by which you came to know about the Indian Navy officer entry recruitment.

After filling up the above details, click on “next Step” to proceed. You will be taken to “SSB details” page.  

Step VI – Enter previously attended SSB interview details

You need to enter full details of your SSB interviewsattended in the past, if any. So you need to enter the following details.

• First of all select whether you have attended SSB interview earlier or not.

• If you select Yes option in the SSB interview stated above, you need to fill up Service, Type of Entry, Name of SSB, Month and year of SSB, Batch No and choose whether you were recommended by SSB interviewing board or not.

After filling up these SSB related details, click on “Preview” link to proceed.  

Step VII – Verify the online Officer Entry application form of Indian Navy

You have almost completed the online application form by filling up the details. Now it’s time to preview and verify the correctness of the application form details. So please check the application form carefully and when you feel that the details are accurate, click on “Submit” link to proceed.


The moment you click on “Submit” link, your application for short service commissioned officer entry for Indian Navy’s Executive and Technical branches will be submitted onine.   And after successfully submitting the application, you will get a unique registration number from Indian Navy. Note down this registration number as it will be required for printing the application form, to know whether you are shortlisted for SSB interview by Indian Navy etc.

Step VIII – Take a print out of online officer entry form for Indian Navy commissioning

Click on “Ok” to proceed further. Final application will be displayed in the form of PDF file. So take a print out of this application form and fill up place, date details. Attach a paasport size photograph in the space provided on the right top corner of the application form. Finally sign the application form and send it to Post Box No. 04,Nirman Bhawan New Delhi- 110011.
