Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) entrance exam is held by IAF to shortlist candidates for SSB interviews. Recommended candidates from all AFSBs will be considered for medical examination and finally all India merit list will be prepared according to the number of vacancies available and marks scored in SSB interviews by recommended candidates. All candidates whose names will be listed in merit list will become officers in Indian Air Force after successfully completing their training at Air Force Academy, Dundigal.
Earlier in 2013, IAF has conducted AFCAT 01/2013 on 24th February and the results of AFCAT 1/13 were announced on 20th March 2013. SSB interviews are in progress for all shortlisted candidates. Today IAF has announced that much sought AFCAT 02/2013 notification will be released on 8th June 2013.
60% in graduation is required in order to apply for AFCAT 02/2013. Also only online applications are to be filled up.
Last date to fill up online application of AFCAT 02/13 is 07th July 2013.
We recommend all candidates to fill up applications as early as possible as during AFCAT 1/13, website was unable to take load during last two days and thus, IAF was forced to extend last date. But don't expect the same this time and register yourself online as early as possible.
We recommend you to go through previous question papers of AFCAT to have good idea about the pattern of the examination.
